Jail
Ministry Walk for Christ
Saturday, September 18, 9:45 a.m.
Barcelona Road Baptist Church
The Garland County Jail
Ministry consists of volunteers who reach out to inmates in jail by
bringing the Word and hope of Jesus Christ to every one incarcerated by
the criminal justice system. Their goal is to change lives one at a time
with the love, Word and witness of Jesus Christ. Each year they
sponsor a Walk for Christ to raise funds.
Our church has the
opportunity to be a part of this ministry. Each walker needs to register
by calling 312-1899 or 622-3684. They will receive a sheet to enter
their sponsors' names. The walk starts at BRBC at 10 a.m. Saturday,
September 18 and begins with a sign in and opening prayer at 9:45. A
picnic at noon will be sponsored by BRBC. Checks should be made payable
to GC Jail Ministry. |
