SINGLE
MEN'S FELLOWSHIP
On the
first Saturday of each month at 11:30, the single men of BRBC meet for lunch and fellowship.
Call Harold Garrett (984-2486) for further details.
In
addition to lunch and fellowship, it is a way to foster friendships and
encourage each other and enable us to assist one another.
If you
are a single man, even if you live with family or have someone who
checks on you, we want you to be part of this fellowship. Please make
plans to attend monthly.
Retired and Senior Volunteer Program
RSVP is a nationwide
program which invites adults 55 and over to use their life experience
and skills to answer the call of their neighbors in need. There are many
opportunities in our area to become involved. Many of our church members
work at volunteer stations in areas such as English as a Second
Language, literacy service, school tutoring, Potter's Clay, Jackson
House Mission and their lunch program, Meals on Wheels, disaster relief,
Jail Ministries, Samaritan Ministries, National Park and St. Joseph's
health centers, food pantries and other ministries where you are helping
others in need.
RSVP provides supplemental
insurance coverage to all registered members at no cost to the member.
This coverage is to and from your home and during your involvement in
RSVP related volunteer activities. Information for the insurance is
attached to the RSVP applications on the bulletin board outside the
Fellowship Hall. If you have any questions, see me or give me a call.
